Explore the intricate vastness of the largest temple site on the planet. Experience the richness of Cambodian art and culture. Meditate. Journey inward on sacred land with kindred souls. Rediscover wonder in a place steeped in kindness and beauty.

Deep in the jungles of Cambodia lie a vast ancient temple complex of 1000 temples, spanning over 400 acres. Originally a Hindu temple site built close to 2000 years ago, it was later transformed into a Buddhist temples in the 12th century. It is a temple site rich in iconographic meaning. As a traveler, it’s not only a place to experience the rich Khmer history, but also a place to investigate one’s own inner landscape in a temple grounds that has been sacred for a millennia We will make the most of this opportunity to be in this unique sacred site in this powerful location.
Will visit other amazing temples in the Angkor Wat complex, such as Ta Phrom which is famous, because Laura Croft Tomb Raider was shot there! It’s pretty fascinating because there’s all those lovely trees growing in the temple grounds. Bantay is the most elaborately carved and beautiful temples I have ever seen! They blew my mind! and then will of course go to the Bayon temple, which was originally a Brahman temple. The temple list goes on ….you will be amazed and awed by the majesty and spiritual heartfulness it took to create them.

As well as visiting these sacred sites, we will also get to enjoy Cambodian food and culture at a dinner theater featuring Apsara dancers. The Celestial Dancers grace so many walls at Angkor Wat and we will get to watch modern Khmer dance while we take in Cambodia delicacies. The next day, any who would like to can take an apsara dance lesson, featuring the unique live music of the apsara dance. Any who wish to may participate in Apsara dance lessons.

When traveling alone, or in a regular tour group, it’s hard to break the mold and sit in meditation. But as a group, we give each other permission to settle down and experience the place from an internal perspective. I found it a powerful place to sit and meditate
We’ll visit some of the lovely monasteries in town very close to where we will be staying. It’s a lovely place to reflect and meditate.

Wat Damnak Center for Khmer Culture.

There is a rich relationship between the Kulen Mountains and the Angkor Wat, because that is where the rock for the site.. and its water originate from. The river flows straight through the town to the enormous Tonle Sap Lake south of the modern city of Siem Reap, where we will be staying.

.
The river from the Phnom Kulen mountain passes through the Angkor Wat site, through the town of Siem Reap and down to the Tonle Sap Lake. We will enjoy our time near the river in town, and the exciting food and market culture near pub street which is not far from the river.. Every night, we’ll try a new restaurant, so new culinary experiences await you! Cambodian food tends to be similar in flavor to Thai food, but milder in heat.
